Funding from CTI-Cleantech Innovation

We are happy to announce that CemGreen in collaboration with Hybrid Greentech, DTU Civil Engineering and DTU Electro have received a grant from CTI-Cleantech Innovation to develop a process and framework for making Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) running entirely on renewable energy sources. When successful, we will be able to make a SCM which is completely carbon free.

The Confederation of Danish Industry held a SME day, where we got a chance to talk to the CEO of Aalborg Portland Michael Lundgaard Thomsen to discuss potential areas for collaboration. The discussion turned into a small article (in Danish).

CemGreen listed as one of The Top 25 most innovative start-ups!

We are happy to announce that CemGreen has been elected as one of the Top 25 most innovative start-ups in the Nordic region by the Nordic Cleantech Open. Following the election, CemGreen will meet the jury  at  Trolleholm,  Southern  Sweden, where they get to pitch and present our promising case. Looking forward to it.

Collaboration with Biocrete

CemGreen have started a collaboration with the Canadian company Biocrete, leading producer of tailored microorganisms for use as additives in concrete mixtures. The combination of using clay minerals with Biocrete’s microorganisms is expected to produce rapid and high strength development in concrete.

New processing method developed

By exploiting our knowledge of processing clay minerals, we have developed the CemShale process. A new process that results in a high strength calcined shale SCM for use in cement products. Increased strength, reduced discoloration and higher quality is obtainable.
